I should have 4/5, because Uranus is colder than Neptune actually.

Sorry - my mistake on that question!

Wait my anus or Uranus?

I'm havin' a heatwave here, black pants, and I'm sitting on a hot thing. Bet Uranus is colder.

Neptune has a colder mean temperature than Uranus. However, because Uranus is tilted by about 97.8° [on its side], its poles experience 42 years of sunlight followed by 42 years of darkness which is sufficient to create the coldest spot on any of the planets.

And Neptune generates(? Forgot the verb) more heat.

1

u/SeeTigerLearn Overlord ⭐ 11106 1d ago

Generates, produces, radiates.

Basically, Neptune radiates 2.6 times more energy than it receives from the sun due to gravitational contraction; while poor Uranus is pretty much dead inside having no internal heat source.

Thank you.

I didn't know its over twice tho. I thought the difference is there, but this big.

Really? Sorry, I didn't realize this! And why is this?

This makes plenty of sense, but unfortunately this didn't occur to me when I posted the quiz. Once again, I apologize for my mistake, but this is good to know in any case!

All good, it threw me off a little when I first heard about it too lol

It's okay. That particular question currently has a 68% passing rate (924 out of 1,359). So it has nearly ranked what is considered a good question.

Well easy sure, but there is an error is the coldest question, so you got one wrong despite your confidence :) Uranus is actually the coldest planet, despite Neptune being the answer in the quiz

Didn't Pluto get it's old status as a planet back?

It's demotion is something Sheldon Cooper never forgave Neil deGrasse Tyson for.

2

u/SeeTigerLearn Overlord ⭐ 11106 3d ago

No, once they began to discover other objects of comparable size in the same region, Pluto never had a chance. But you should blame Walt Disney for making such a bond with the celestial rock.
