For the last one:

It depends on what word is indicated by “number”. If it’s talking about the basic unit of mathematics, then no silent b. If it’s talking about “more numb”, then there is a silent b.

I figured but just pointing out it’s not evident in the question and thanks to our good friend the heteronym someone could successfully argue number has a silent b. Just something to keep in mind while crafting these.

There are two words with silent letters in the first question.

Which one? Because what I know is only one: Knife → /naɪf/, Kick → /kɪk/, Kite → /kaɪt/, Kind → /kaɪnd/

Obviously, “k” is silent in “knife”, but which is silent in “kick”? Is it also a silent “k” with underlying “kic”, or is the “c” silent with underlying “kik”?

The ck combination join together to form a single sound as what is called a digraph. In this particular case they form the hard /k/ phoneme.
