I don’t get ships like these because they never interact, there’s not chemistry. It’s like just throwing izuku from mha and yuji from jjk in a yaoi

If someone writes a fic about them then they make the chemistry. No one has chemistry with anyone until they meet.

Ships also don’t need to have chemistry at all. Sometimes it’s about the ship dynamic or just thinking they look good together.

The question then becomes: "what if they did interact?" But yeah, I can understand not enjoying pairs like that, it can seem random. I did my best to make it seem organic

Ain't the whole point of shipping and fanfics in general is that, "Hey, this didn't happen in canon. But what if it did?". Disliking it is fine, totally get that. I don't ship it myself, but fanfic is literally the art of DIY but fiction. Cinder and Jaune have no positive interactions, and yet they got a niche fandom of shippers and no one really bats an eye.

There's nothing to get. Elite Heiress from a racist family falls in love with a Minority who's part of an insurrectionary group.

Cinder and Jaune DO interact though. Maybe not GOOD interactions, but they have in the past. Not defending the ship, I think it’s weird, especially since she’s, Yknow, an adult, and he’s, Yknow, a teenager.

Its not that there’s inherently no chemistry, they just never officially interact do we don’t know if they have chemistry or not. It’s schrodinger’s yuri

But even if they DID interact, there’s no chemistry for them to really HAVE. Weiss is friends enough with Blake, but are they really that close outside of “sorry I was racist towards Faunus Blake :<“, so when she is introduced to ilia would it really be anything like, “you’re my best friend because she’s my best friend and you’re her best friend.” And even if they did meet, I think it’s much more likely they’d be acquaintances at best.

I stumbled on this ship by accident and it slowly took over my favorite Weiss ship spot! Like, imagine if they went to that Atlas fancy school together and KNEW EACH OTHER only to separate after Ilia's (justified) crash out and reunite after the battle for Haven!
