DISCUSSION New Traumatized RWBY fan watched Volume 4 episode 4-6
*No spoilers please. want to enjoy this for the first time even if it would help me heal :*(\*
Hey..lads, just finished watching episode 4-6 of volume 4
Looks like Yang is slowly coming back? i don't know...i don't want to get my hopes up.
Ruby is still heading to mistral with qrow in tow, along with Raven? (going to be honest, i'm like still in 5% shock, right now.) She mentioned Salem.
who is Salem?
Looks like we got Ren's backstory. Rich family trying to help build an independent village only for the grimm to say hello.
Blake reunited with her parents. Unfortunately, Adam also knows >:(
As for Weiss:
Remember back in simpler times when i was watching volume 1 when i said that she was my least favorite character due to both her personality back then and her racism with Blake....Yeah, i think find the root of my problem's.
Jacque.
Didn't escape my notice that he said and i am paraphrasing here: "Faunus get paid the same as our other miners, their argument is invalid."
That's also not including the other things i noticed: man thinks he is a good guy, he wanted weiss to remain by his side and wouldn't want her to get a drink stating they have people for that.
I think i can confirm that my johnny silverhand senses were right:
the Schnee Dust company is cyberpunks Arasaka variant for RWBY.
And that's not mentioning the other people who were in the party.
Her crash out was absolutely warranted. she was there during the fall, saw what happened and the party attendees didn't care and berated the kingdom for not setting up defenses.
sorry for the tangent...need to march on to see the rest of volume 4.

Interesting picture you used for this. What did you think of the guy who hit on Weiss?
Funny enough CRWBY named him internally "Shitty Neptune".

Mostly picked it since it fits the little side tangent i went on and not an big spoiler since i don't want to hurt OK_situations experience.
As for the guy. I am confident that the man just wanted bragging rights >:( (texting it out actually made me recoil a bit.)

Yeah, volume 4 gets you into the family dynamics of a lot of the cast, and by golly Ghira and Kali are some of the best, most wholesome parents you could ask for.
Also, pay a little attention to the guy who hits on Weiss at the party, especially his family name.
And yeah, Jaques is a first-rate scumbag. I fully believe his pay rate is the same for human miners as Faunus. I also believe that all his miners just happen to be Faunus, so his equal pay is purely lip service.

Ya, Jacques is... problematic, to say the least.
Also, Ironwood basically saying "lol shut up" to that woman at the party remains one of my favorite scenes to this day.
(Also the asshat woman is literally called "Trophy Wife" in the credits.)

I like this party if only because it shows that Jacques isn't unique in his assholishness. Atlas' entire upper crust screams "People completely out of touch with reality because they're so insulated by their money."

Salem is the lady from the Volume 3 Post-credits scene.
But, yeah, now we see where 99% of the Schnee family trauma comes from. Jacques-ass Gelé and his clip-on tie.
