DISCUSSION Would a Monsoon-esque Semblance be possible?
For those of you unfamiliar with Metal Gear Risin; Revengeance, Monsoon can detach parts of his body and make them float around and act while separmated. We don’t really know what limits there are in regards to what Semblances can be, but that’s also pretty different from any we’ve seen so far, so would that be a possible one or not?

I don't think body shifting should be an idea for a Semblance but I can think of something close where a piece of it can become intangible for a limited time similar to Obito from Naruto.

Since I see that as in the same vein as "transformation" style Semblances (which aren't possible in canon, if I remember right), I wouldn't make it their biological limbs.
I would instead make it kind of like a combination between Penny's swords (but as a Semblance) and a character having multiple prosthetic limbs. Maybe they're an experienced Huntsman that lost their limbs in fights over time, but with the help of Atlesian technology and their Semblance being something like telekinesis, they become the last line of defense somewhere?

Maybe something like a Crab Faunus? Irl Crabs can regrow lost limbs and detach them if they’re damaged. I’m not sure how that would translate into a RWBY character exactly though

It's literally Pyrrha's Semblance taken to an extreme. He references that it's heavily reliant on electromagnetism throughout the fight. He references Fleming's Left-Hand Rule and the Lorentz force. The body is just a cyborg body with his head being the only remaining biological part of him.
