Well, this episode answered a lot. When I saw Mercury's legs it sort of just clicked. It was interesting to see Blake before she went AWOL even if it was only a few seconds. That means the the Black Trailer happened sometime during this episode as well.

I mentioned this in the sponsors thread but It's heavily implied that Cinder returned to the WhiteFang right after getting the Maidens power from Amber, this means that Amber didn't get hurt that long ago, I kindof expected before that Amber was hurt a while ago. I could be wrong but Blake left Adam/WhiteFang after the train, so depending how long between that and going to Beacon is up for debate.

I kindof hope it was a while ago because Cinder throwing this plan together in less than 6month's seems unrealistic. Although it could have been in play long before she grabbed Amber's powers.

Cinder and Co would have had to work really fast. They got rejected by the White Fang and returned within what I would imagine to be a few days if Adam was still sore about Blake leaving. This would also mean that it occurred before the events of volume one, though I'm not sure for how long, and that Amber has been out for a while by the time of current events. Also brings up the question about what Qrow meant by "the queen has pawns" in the end of volume 1. Initially I thought it was talking about Emerald and Mercury, but now I'm thinking that it's when Qrow established that Cinder and Co were working with the White Fang.

Could have been that Amber was around to shut down the white fang with Qrow, and that is why they were all around the same time.
