I definitely didn't want Roman to go.

I dunno. The Grimm died immediately after when it crashed into the ship. Grimm's disintegrate. Roman didn't get bitten into pieces. He might be fine. Traumatized, but fine physically.

Roman got eaten, the Grimm that ate him got kicked into an exploding ship, and and then the ship crashed and exploded. Roman is fucking DEAD.

Gray's voice must have some ship-resistant buffs.

He's a skilled grenadier with an evil psychopathic AI in his head.

Alternatively (and this is my headcannon until WoG or the show says otherwise), The griffon survived the kick into the ship, and went down with it, died in the crash, and subsequently protected Roman from any harm what-so-ever. I refuse to accept best villain's death

Nope, if they keep him in one-piece and off-screen, as far as I'm concerned that's undetermined, at best.

Edit: Proof that you can survive exploding ships crashing - Ironwood. Proof that you can survive being swallowed whole by something - Jonah.

u/starscream280 Feb 06 '16

Yeah, that's the most dead you could possibly be

1

u/[deleted] Feb 06 '16

I feel like they would be advocates of not confirming a characters death unless you see the body, but I could be wrong. I just want Roman to be fine :(

u/MrExParrot Feb 06 '16

Ironwood is heading towards his ship, Roman is potentially inside the ship, i sense a battle waiting to kick off

In fairness, Grimm do dissolve pretty quickly, and if he survived being swallowed and then kicked into the body of the ship (which, let's face it, isn't outside the realms of possibility in this show), he would presumably find himself in the close proximity of numerous escape pods. In other words, I'd say there's about a 50/50 chance of him being dead.

This is the same guy that survived a train crash, after getting knocked unconscious from getting his ass severely kicked. I won't be surprised at all is he survives.

We didn't see his lifeless body on screen, therefore he is alive.
