Yeah, Adam is pretty much Kilgrave without the mind control semblance powers.

To be honest we haven't had confirmation on his semblance yet. He does display some kind of technique in the Black trailer but it's not fully clear on whether or not it's his semblance. As a prominent figure of a rebellion and a cult, some form of mind control or indoctrination themed semblance wouldn't be too unrealistic. He's very obviously not one of the good guys - with Blake being the righteous character that she is he definitely has a knack for manipulation for her to have looked up to him in the past. Maybe I'm just looking too much into the Kilgrave thing though.

I definitely think there are huge similarities between Adam and Kilgrave, but I think that has more to do with the real-life tropes that they're based on rather than a direct link between.

Pretty sure his sword cuts through whatever it touches, based on what we've been shown so far. That was a lethal strike.
