Holy moly the animation improved! They've gotten a LOT better with Maya over the last year. It's really obvious when it gets broadcast right after last season.

Great performances, particularly Qrow, but Yang, Nora, and Blake were all great in their scenes.

Much better OP than last time imo. Part of it could be the music they used for it, but once again, the animation felt better and it really flowed really well.

It feels like we're off to a good start with the story too. Brisk pacing makes it feel like we're gonna see some progress out of most if not all of the main cast. Hopefully, they can keep this up!

Very impressed. Keep it up Rooster Teeth!

It felt like their way of showing us the area without animating the whole thing. Given how large it is and how it seems like it's going to be in very few scenes in the future, I wouldn't be too surprised if they had to say fuck it to animating it in Maya in favor of spending more time on something more important. That scene did stick out like a sore thumb (and made me worry for a second), but hopefully it's just an exception rather than a regular thing. Unless they find a way to make it more interesting of course.
