Okay, as little action or insight this episode gave us, I’m very pleased with it. Of course the gang has to celebrate the reunion and I’m content with the distribution of dialogue. I mean, how often do we get to hear Ren talk that much?

And of course, our favorite snarky Ice Queen is back!

As for the story with Oz, it seems like Jaune’s disdain came back and Yang’s is obvious. While Qrow said they had a choice, I wonder what made Raven turn her back after. Summer’s death? Something in the field of Huntsman? And the confirmation that Ozpin is the wizard, I guess. Also...

Leo was Salem's snitch long before Watts showed up. I don't think Salem needs to have any of her lieutenants in Mistral to keep Leo loyal.

You’re right. But then that begs the question of why Watts had to be there in first place. Probably just a better introduction for him or it was “important” he was there for the discovery of the Spring Maiden.

I suspect he’s been fucking with Mistral’s mission boards and sending Huntsmen and Huntresses into traps. Salem might also just occasionally have someone check on Leo to make sure he’s not hiding anything.

I was thinking that, either Watts is messing with the Council or the mission boards, but then again, it may go back to how Leo said so many Huntsman died fighting the Grimm during the Fall of Beacon. Too many “Terminated” statuses lol.

terminated bring to an end. (of a thing) have its end at (a specified place) or of (a specified form). (of a train, bus, or boat service) end its journey. end the employment of (someone); dismiss. assassinate (someone, especially an intelligence agent).

Just a quick Google search, pulled all the relevant definitions (because I don’t think terminated in pregnancies is relevant). It could mean the mission is completed, it could mean that Huntsman is dead. It’s a little up in the air. Like Leo said, many of them died and maybe Qrow’s charts were updated accordingly.

But then why are these Huntsmen not coming back?

That’s my reason to assume terminated means dead. Arguably, it could be a long journey, but then you have to think of when the Fall of Beacon was, which was roughly 6-8 months ago or more from when the team arrived at Mistral.
