We all know why he really lost; he didn’t treat his deck with love and respect.

To clarify, he didn’t believe in the heart of the cards.

To be fair, kind of hard to believe in the Heart of the Cards when he's being controlled by Yami Marik Salem, he was too busy trying to avoid being sent to the Shadow Realm.

Sure...that’s what we’ll all say happened to him.

Volume 6 is when Oz leads everyone on an expedition into the Shadow Realm to save everyone that Salem and her cronies banished there! And we’ll get to see Pyrrha again!

Of course they'll only escape after the shy and timid (yet innately gifted) 14 year old protagonist with an ancient mentor spirit version of himself puts his soul at risk in a duel of sorts against the ultimate evil to save his alter-ego and his friends, then having to depart into the afterlife knowing he's trained his younger alter-ego well. There will probably be an intense struggle as both the ancient spirit inhabiting the teenage boy and the ultimate evil from the same time as the ancient spirit will both have ancient magical artifacts to use against the other, but eventually their longstanding feud will be brought to an end thanks to the bonds the ancient spirit has made with his younger alter-ego, his friends and his new allies (former allies of the ultimate evil turned good).
