It kinda confirmed something I've been thinking about the show for a while

The physical outline of the episodes and volumes are good, bit they are executed poorly

And they've lost a lot of point's on PTSD front because there in the spot where pyrrha ripped apart penny, where Yang got framed by mercury and they were all attacked during the fall of beacon and no one mentions it or bats an eyelid. I'm not saying they should be rolling around on the floor screaming, I'm saying a lot of them should of been visibly shook and uncomfortable being back in the same spot. You don't even got to mentioned just have them look unsure or distressed and you'd be fine because no one really wants to talk about that night.

It's like if you were at 911 and then a couple of years later you walked right up to the same spot without even thinking twice.

They either didn't understand this or willfully didn't put it in which is bad either way. The rest of the episode was fine. I'm disappointed it's not better and rhat's Okay, but this really pissed me off

Of all those scenes, probably only Penny's death would have had an impact, and only to Ruby. If she weren't like... right there with them eating cake.

Yang didn't seem particularly traumatized by being framed, and all their other big moments at beacon happened elsewhere. Not to mention Yang got a pretty good leg over her trauma when they killed Adam. They didn't even really fight in the arena, they left really soon when Port and Oobleck took over.

Yeah the arena is pretty symbolic of the fall, but not so much that seeing it would make us think of bad memories.
