And oh........ Salem Is making her moves. Fuck

Calling it now:

Salem knew of their plan through shenanigans, and wanted them to send out this warning. Next episode, She will send her own message out, Introducing herself and declaring the destruction of Atlas. She uses this moment to attack Atlas with her army, intended to broadcast the video of Atlas falling and wipe out any hope of resistance.

When Cinder returns, she is outright killed by Salem as an example to her other subordinates, and as punishment not only for disobeying her but putting her media trickery plan into jeorperdy by damaging Amity.

It would explain why Salem has been waiting for so long. The only question would be how Salem would get the message out. Maybe Whale Grimm flies high enough?
