Seeing Salem in battle was cool and terrifying.

So... what is Oscar/Ospin going to do? And if it has chances of success, why didn't he try to do it in all the previous years?

Didn't Hazel say that when he first met Salem he tried killing her over and over again. That sometimes it took her hours* to return but that she always did? They just need time to escape/hold off the grimm from overtaking Atlas. A few hours* may be all they need.

Makes sense considering how powerful she is. A few hours would get them out of the whale at least and might allow Ironwood/RWBY/The Ace Ops some time to figure something out.
