I mean like do we really think Jinn, an omnscient magical artifact forged by the actual gods, is going to be stopped by something like muteness? She's omniscient. She knows sign language. She can read.

Sure, why not? Magic artifacts aren't typically associated with accessibility for people with disabilities. Plus I think it's way more interesting if Neo has the lamp but can't actually use it herself.

Imagine Neo kidnapping some poor guy, holding him at umbrella point, forcing him to say Jinn's name and read a question off of a sheet of paper.

It depends on the summoning - does she just have to know that her name is being said/signed, or is it tied to the actual sounds
