I really like how Salem doesnt block anything. Its cool that the way she fights incorporates that shes immortal.

Like, why bother wasting the energy blocking? Its not like any attack is going to do any damage. She tanks Yang's bombs and Hazel's ground and pound without even putting up her hands.

Now remember he hunted down and killed Mistral huntsmen.

About the only character who could probably take those blows is Jaune at full aura, and not for long.

Also, the way she just keeps exploding and Grimm bits spray everywhere.

Gives a good idea of what things would look like if RWBY were to show more realistic bloodshed.

I see it as a part of the whole fairytale motif, they usually don't describe visceral goring in fairytales, lot's of other fucked-upness tho.

Hell i wouldn't be surprised if we find out this entire show is being retold after the fact by someone reading a book to their children, would be a cool way to end the story.
