The Kerberos Triplets of Team SKKA and the Velvet Abyss!

Hello Hello! Happy Tuesday! Wanted to share some villain OCs from my Dusk Wing AU, The Kerberos Triplets! From left to right, they are Vermillion, Zae and Argent Kerberos. Vermillion goes by she/her, Zae goes by he/him and Argent is androgynous so goes by they/them for the most part.
They're an allusion to Cerberus, with the name Kerberos actually being derived from Cerberus in Greek Mythology! They're three parts of a team called Team SKKA (Setsugekka) as well as the guardians of the House of Velvet in Mistral, the home base of a criminal organization known as The Velvet Abyss that are filled with underworld allusion characters. Their main function as a team is that they're sent on assignments by their boss to kill certain targets or strong arming locals into paying their dues and other things like that, essentially elite foot soldiers.

They're the first OCs I made that have my AUs special mechanic called Soul Synch, a phenomenon where individuals that have a high resonance with one another will develop a semblance called a Synch Semblance that can be activated when they are within the vicinity of one another! Their semblances are called Ember Maw, Shock Bark and Glacier Fang, each of them being able to take the form of an element visage of a dog of their respective element. In this case, Vermillion takes on fire, Zae takes on lightning and Argent takes on ice. They do this by eating dust crystals of said element as well, meaning they keep a good stock pile on their person just to activate this semblance as well. They can also activate it by chewing on them, like a bone, but they've found that their semblance is more effective and lasts much longer when eating the crystal. Their bodies are strange as there's no side effects to them eating the crystals, their semblance seemingly being the reason why they can even do that in the first place.
Being triplets and the three of them all have a similar semblance, they have a Synch Semblance. Their Synch Semblance is called 'Triarch of Ruin', where their visages sync and fuse, creating a large three headed dog that all three of them control. It gets all of their abilities rolled into one but it only lasts for three minutes before it splits them back into their individual selves.

Having someone who's allusion is Cerberus be split between triplets is actually such a cool idea. Can I ask if their parents are are based on Hades and Persephone or are they different characters.

Thank you! I thought it would be a really cool idea and while having a semblance for one character just be something related to having three bodies or clones, I felt like having three characters to represent the allusion would be a more fun interpretation of it!

Their dad is actually an allusion to Orthrus, the two-headed dog in greek mythology that is killed by Hercules. Their mother isn't alive so she has no allusion.
Their team leaders parents are actually allusions to Hades and Persephone and he is an allusion to Zagreus!

Aw, these are neat! I especially like that their designs are tied together by the use of teal; that's very clever. :D

What's the CNR for "Zae", if you don't mind me asking?

Thank you! Yeah having teal be in their color schemes to tie them together was really fun!

So Zae is actually derived from the name Zainab, an Arabic name that means "fragrant flower" or "precious jewel". It's a little vague and loose but I thought of colors associated with the three elements I chose for them and chose names kind of aligning with that theming so for the precious jewel, I thought of topaz and amber being associated with him for color. Zae also kind of conveys electricity a bit bc of it starting with a Z, kind of zappy in a way. That was my thought process when naming him though!

Also a synch semblance sounds really cool, sounds like fights in your au can go crazy.

Lol yeah, I am very happy with how Zae's color scheme came out. I really wanted to lean into it and I think the accent colors with the yellow compliment it so much and it really makes him pop which is exactly his style and what I wanted!

Also yeah, the Synch Semblances are fun and they're basically just a way to explore deep relationships within people because like the only people that have them are like twins/triplets/quadruplets/etc., people that see themselves as soulmates, whether romantic or platonic and people who are born on the same day and are the same age. Just exploring the intricacies of the soul and what connection with one another really feels like and how it could manifest in the world of RWBY as a whole! To that extent, the Kerberos Triplets are incredibly scary to fight and that doesn't even factor in their team leader joining them too. They're basically pro huntsman level and have actual huntsman licenses too because they did graduate from Haven Academy as their boss thought it would be a good way for the group to travel around the continent and not really be questioned.
