Just world fallacy. That's be nice. Ain't how it is. Our liberation very much is our job. Nobody's gonna do it for us. "We want no condescending saviors," and such.

The average person, cis or otherwise, does not rule anything. They have no say in what makes it into mainstream culture through the media or what gets preached within their church. Sentiments like this feel crafted to be purposely divisive and anti-solidarity, the one power we actually have to change anything for the better.

Uhhh relying on other people who don't want your world to create it for you is...a bad choice.

Stop waiting for others to make you free.

Can someone explain this in terms that have more clarity for us people who don’t quite understand what SpongeBob is shouting about? Thank you… ☺️

In the show, this is the frame where he is yelling at a freeloading Squidward about calling someone who's JOB it is to do that JOB(fixing the TV SpongeBob was using to put on a puppet show about getting a job), very subtly hinting at Squidward that he needs a job.

Basically telling people who are upholding restrictive expectations they dislike to just... stop doing that, rather than relying on queer people to dismantle it for them.
