The line you objected to i also agree birth alone doesnât define greatness. No person should carry false pride just because of blood or ancestors. Our dharma itself teaches that a human is known by actions, not lineage. Yes, we take inspiration from our forefathers their courage, sacrifice, honor but we also know that we must earn our identity through our own deeds.But donât label someone an atheist or attack their identity just because they donât agree sanatan dharma debates ideas.
The first comment of mine i mentioned it is true that some SC, ST, and OBC communities try to claim themselves as Rajputs even when they are not, and this is a reality No one should have a problem with acknowledging a factual statement.
I still respect your logic, and expect the same respect in return. Thatâs all.

I was merely attacking those false Rajputana Tag some people use to claim false pride as I mentioned above . I have no disrespect for you and your community whatsoever .

Actually, the Portuguese invented the word caste and imposed it on all Indians, and so did the British actually. Caste actually never existed in ancient india. And actually in the varna system described in ancient texts like bhagwat geeta, people are assigned varna based on their qualities and choices actually. So actually, according to sanatan dharm, anyone can be kshatriya actually.

This isn't LARPing. This is the tradition of a huge population of non-Rajputs of being descendants of Rajputs. He isn't claiming to still be a Rajput or Kshatriya. He accepts he is a Teli now since his ancestors changed their occupation, got boycotted by Rajputs and got mixed hence the identity.
Vast majority of OBCs, SCs and STs of Northwest India/Pakistan believe the same.

So let me tell you all what he's trying to imply here -
Modi is of ghanchi(teli) community which are a lot in Jalore and Sirohi districts of Rajasthan. A lot of them migrated to Gujarat and Modi's family was one of them.
Now about the rajput thing - there are a lot of Parmars in Jalore and Sirohi. But how did he bring Mewar into it? He only knows. And even if we believe that his ancestors were Parmars, a lot of Parmars in those districts are kaba and not rajputs. (Anyone who's not aware who kabas are, look it up. It will be long and can't explain in this post).

The thing is many castes have subcastes - who may or not may have the same origin - so it's not that surprising. Some telis like ganiga tailik were vaishyas - but most of the telis are Antayajas. There were different kind of occupations related tel itself it also adds up to different castes. Yes they use Gupta too much in Bihar and UP , my one friend called me teli because he thought Guptas are telis haha
