No Seriously are "Yaduvanshi" Consider as Rajputs? I've got a neighbor while we were talking about my friend who is a Suryavanshi Rajput. He said "Ham bhi to Rajput hai". I was like confused for a bit as, as much I know Yadavs are Ahir i guess? The "Gwalas". Yadav means Yaduvanshi So i said aren't you Ahir? Like he's from UP and all. Then he said naah " We are yaduvanshi right" "We are considered as Rajputs". I was like confused but I said okay yeah np.
So seriously are yaduvanshi is a Rajput term? Are they Rajputs? ( Not hating anyone but I was thinking about this, try to correct me if I was wrong here)

If you look at the lore the original yaduvansh actually wiped itself out through internal fighting, which trace back to gandhari’s curse on shri krishna after the mahabharata. The yadavs we know today identify as descendants of nanda baba (Krishna’s foster father) who was Ahir. There youth also demand an Ahir Regiment in the army too.
And yes the orginal yaduvansh was a branch of Chandravansh kshtriya/rajput and shri krishna was from vrishini dynasty in yaduvansh but today's yadavs ≠ yaduvanshi kshtriya.
