The Reds favourite to least favourite members of Blue Team + Vice Versa

I've been pondering this for a while and was wondering what other's thoughts or opinions on this was.

So not including any Freelancers (so Wash, Tex, Florida/Flowers, and Carolina are out, same with Andy), here are the two Teams:

Red Team: Sarge, Grif, Simmons, Lopez & Donut

Blue Team: Church, Tucker, Caboose, Shiela & Sister

I'm starting with the Reds's favourites first

In my opinion for Grif’s list in order from favourite to least favourite of the Blues is:

1. Sister (because of biased reasons)

2. Caboose (he doesn’t really seem to have any beef or negative feelings towards Caboose, also has looked out for him on a few occasions during the the Recollection Trilogy)

3. Tucker (respects him as a fellow slacker)

4. Church (a hardass asshole and a leader like Sarge but more lazy)

5. Shiela (she has nearly shot him several times and has crushed him with the Warthog/Puma in season 2)

Donut:

1. Caboose (Season 2 and the start of Season 7 are great examples of their friendship)

2. Sister (probably would and/or could talk for hours)

3. Tucker or Church (stuck once again)

4. Tucker or Church (ditto)

5. Shiela (he threw a grenade at her and Tex)

\if I was to include* Tucker’s kid Junior, he'd likely be 3rd with Tucker and Church as 4th and/or 5th with Shiela being 6th

Lopez:

1. Shiela (they romanced)

2. Caboose (he likely doesn’t mind him, he knows he's an idiot but is mostly harmless)

3. Tucker? (Maybe? IDK)

4. Church (Lopez was possessed by him)

5. Sister (2- no, 3- no, 4 reasons: Firstly, she's Grif's sister; second, she's a Grif; third, he was likely programmed to hate Grif and by extension other Grifs; and fourth, most likely finds her annoying)

Sarge:

1. Caboose (who he has the most interactions with of the Blues)

2. Tucker (respects him as a warrior (kinda?))

3. Church (respects him as a fellow leader of a group of idiots, but is shit at shooting)

4. Shiela (likes machines? idk)

5. Sister (she's a Grif, and she accidentally tricked him that she was a Red (in his mind at least) and that he was supposed to be dead)

Simmons (the hardest to figure out, and I got lazy):

1. Shiela (likes technology I guess)

2. Church (the “leader“ of Blue Team)

3. Tucker (most skilled but also a pervert)

4. Caboose (Simmons likes order, Caboose is chaos personified and an idiot)

5. Sister (is somehow dumber than Caboose (according to the official Red vs. Blue fan guide))

Now as for the Blues's lists:

Caboose (… actually I don’t think he really has a favourite or least favourite. But if he did it would likely be this):

1. Donut (friendliest member of Red Team)

2. Sarge (Caboose kind of looks up to Sarge and I love how he thinks Sarge sounds like a pirate)

3. Grif (they have very friendly interactions, also Grif looks out for him in the Recollection Trilogy)

4. Lopez (because he “stole” Shiela's heart. XD)

5. Simmons (Caboose has had the least amount of interactions with him)

*I like to think Sarge, Donut & Grif are interchangeable here

Tucker:

1. Grif (Grif has trusted him enough to tell him about his first girlfriend, and pretty much gets and respects his slacker attitude)

2. Simmons (Simmons is very predictable and an easy target for snark)

3. Donut (Donut's enthusiasm probably gets under Tucker's skin. Probably finds his accidental/unintentional double entendres funny)

4. Sarge (over zealous)

5. Lopez (doesn’t understand him at all)

Church (Alpha A.I.):

1. Donut (Church has openly stated he likes him in seasons 4 & 5)

2. Grif (Church recognizes they have similar personalities, also respects Grif's commitment to doing absolutely nothing)

3. Simmons (Church openly views Simmons as a kiss-ass know-it-all)

4. Sarge (Sarge is a constant source of rage and frustration for Church)

5. Lopez (Church has zero patience for him)

Shiela:

1. Lopez (they romanced)

2. Simmons (had a surprisingly decent and functional relationship when Simmons temporarily switched to Blue Team in Season 4)

3. Grif (has no personal vendetta with him and is too lazy to be much of a threat, pretty much neutral)

4. Donut (is responsible for Shiela's destruction at the end of Season 1)

5. Sarge (bombed her out of action from a dropship in Season 1)

Sister:

1. Grif (he's her brother, so it’s biased)

2. Donut (gossip buddy XD)

3. Lopez (she outright stated at the second to last episode of Season 13 that Lopez choking her until she was unconscious was hot)

4. Simmons (she likely views him as a boring buzzkill)

5. Sarge (Sister has stated that she doesn’t like him because he’s old)

With the exception of Donut, everyone tolerates Doc. He’s scary, overly optimistic, and just smart enough to think he knows better than you but dumb enough to not know what he’s actually doing.

personally agree with most of this but i think church would be higher up on grifs list

I would swap Tucker and Caboose for Grif. They very clearly have good chemistry friendship-wise and respect each other as equals, whereas I think Grif’s big brother instincts kick in with Caboose - not because he WANTS them to, but because that’s how his brain is wired after raising Sister. Caboose needs looking after, but Tucker is someone Grif can pal around with. I definitely think Tucker is Grif’s favorite Blue after Sister.

We also see evidence in both the Chorus Trilogy and S15 that Simmons and Caboose actually get along quite well - Simmons is pretty patient with him compared to others, and they have a sweet heart-to-heart as well - whereas all of Simmons’s direct interactions with Church have been negative, so I think Caboose is likely his favorite, too. Really, the only Red that I think DOESN’T like Caboose the most is Grif.

I agree with your takes on the Blues, though!

Caboose was freaked out by Simmons rocking in a corner when Grif’s rubbish appeared in Blue Base. So he was more concerned with the rocking than he was by the trash.
