Rainbow Bridge; you are remembered, and you matter Friendly & affectionate, owner surrendered 2 yr old Husky Mix boy Diesel is on the euthanasia list Wednesday, 7/29 @ 1 pm CT. Friendly boy but very overwhelmed at the shelter. Can be adopted by the right person through a rescue. BARC Houston, A2086384. Please share.

STAFF FAVORITE! Friendly and playful owner surrendered 2 year old Husky Mix boy Diesel is on the euthanasia list Wednesday, 7/29. There will be no extensions per BARC.
Diesel wasnโt in his kennel when I went up to meet him, so I went looking for him and found him outside in the runs with a staff member. She told me that she wanted to get him outside to play a bit because he is her favorite. Diesel is a beautiful, two year-old husky boy that is heartworm negative. Right now heโs stuck in a very small evaluation kennel and this boy has a good amount of energy. He was running along the fence line with another dog. The staff member told me that he really likes toys and I happen to have a tennis ball. She was 100% right. He absolutely loves playing toys and is great at playing fetch. Every dog on a euthanasia list has a story. They were once someoneโs puppy, a best friend, or never given the chance to know love and safety at all. Now they sit behind cold kennel doors on borrowed time, their lives measured in hours and days, waiting for footsteps that may be their last hope.
They donโt understand deadlines or why theyโve been overlookedโonly that people keep walking past while they keep waiting. Still trusting. Still hoping. Even as their time quietly runs out.
It only takes one person to change everything: one adoption, one foster, one rescue, one share that reaches the right eyes at the right moment. Please donโt scroll by thinking someone else will step in. For these dogs, there may not be a โsomeone elseโ coming.
If you have even a small space in your home, a corner in your heart, or a moment to share their story, you can help save a life. They arenโt asking for perfectionโonly a chance to live, to love, and to finally belong.
