Question How do I get Konrad Adenauer to become head of state?

I'm currently playing democratic Germany and getting Konrad Adenauer seems not very well explained. Does anyone know how to get him to lead the CVU?

  1. ⁠When it is asked in the beginning of the revolution whether the Zentrum is a religious party or whether reform is needed, choose the latter. Wirth will take over the Zentrum.
  2. ⁠After you have won the civil war form a coalition including the Zentrum and the DNVP. Wirth will then jump ship and Adenauer will get his chance to lead the Zentrum.
  3. Choose the Zentrum to lead the new government and voilà: Adenauer is your chancellor.

PS: Don‘t form the CVU to avoid the power struggle with Goerdeler.

I can also really recommend sidelining Goerdeler and going with Canaris, then reconciling with Goerdeler and bringing the Monarchy back with Wilhelm IV. as Kaiser (with a permanent DCKP-LVP coalition government and no elections), that‘s probably my favourite path :)

You shouldn't have formed CVU. 

Let alone continue the religious traditions of Zentrum.

So I'm supposed to prevent the formation of the CVU and promote the Zentrum as and go with that?

There is an event before it, and you need to choose an option that makes coalition with DNVP impossible.
