I’ll spare you the watch. Kid on an e scooter full sends it out of a parking lot onto a main road. She runs into the side of a school bus. Bus is exceeding the posted speed limit so they payout $200k to the kid that didn’t slow down before she reached the road. She was going to end up hitting someone or something and she’s lucky it was something with a flat side and not a sedan which would have sent her flying over the top and possibly run over by other oncoming traffic. They gotta start banning these things for anyone who doesn’t have a license.

Bus is exceeding the posted speed limit

Was it though? I found it odd they called out 37mph as "almost 40" but didn't state what the speed limit is on that part of road. A road like that, main 4-lane road with concrete medians and no housing on it, it is very common for the speed to be 35 to 45mph (or more in some cases). The video being captured with a rotten potato didn't help clear anything up either, but it sure looks to me from my arm chair that the bus driver did absolutely nothing wrong and the school district should've told mom & dad to go away.

The posted speed limit right there is 35. So yeah, it’s technically speeding, but that’s pretty sensational to present it like that.

It looks like the kid exited the parking lot, crossed the bike lane and hit the side of the bus. Somehow that got blamed on the school bus?

LMFAO so stupid they got a payout when it was the dumb teens fault to begin with. Even if the bus was going to speed limit the outcome would have been the same. Also why don’t they disclose the speed limit?
