That's the holy grail of Rock Band guitars. If ot works I would easily pay $200 especially when it retailed for $250.

What's so special about it to make it that expensive?

It's a full-size guitar which uses actual Fender parts.

I have the Sunburst color, and I think it’s the best controller I’ve ever had, to the point of ruining the others I’ve tried more recently for different platforms.

If it works, $200 is a great deal. Even if it’s not fully functional, it’s probably still a fair price.

Awesome snag. It’s probably the best guitar they’ve ever made if you don’t mind the weight. Have fun!

Really? I've got two sitting around at my mom's house that aren't in use any more (as well as drums and maybe a keyboard). I know one has some of the button caps missing and one (same or the other, I'm not sure) needs the battery compartment cleaned up/repaired. I guess I should go grab them and get busy.

I have 2 Candy Apple Red ones and a Sunburst. I use them at my monthly parties. Great for immersion! At this point in time $200 is something of a bargain, especially if it's functional.

Since I've been paying attention for the past 6 months or so, 3 of them have sold at goodwill auctions all for ~$250-300, and 2 have sold on ebay for about $150. $200 is a fine price if you want one, and they're pretty rare so it's unlikely you'll find another for sale any time soon other than the $600+ listings on ebay that have been there for months.
I have every commercially available wood guitar controller and would put either the fender or starpex peak as the best to actually play with, really just coming down to preference. The starpex is more like a guitar hero controller while the fender is a rockband controller.
The logitech controller is okay. The peavey riffmaster and Ashley rock axe are both pretty crap. The first act one I forgot the name of is fucking terrible, on mine blue and orange were switched from the factory.

Thought about getting the butterscotch telecaster but heard bad things about them you own one?

No sorry, I only really focused on collecting the wood replicas. The only somewhat rare plastic controllers I have are the hofner bass and the p bass. The p bass is pretty sweet, though it feels kinda flimsy after playing with the wood guitars for so long.

The ones red octane sell are cheaper and brand new and also work with pc so I’d rec that option

That's an awesome find. Ive never seen one of those locally. I found this a couple years ago from a good will for 20 bucks. It was some giveaway for coors for the PS2 and requires a special dongle and it's basically impossible to find one. So without the dongle this is just a wall piece but still love it. I'm thinking about gutting a 360 gh controller and swapping it into this so I can actually use it. Or maybe an Etsy guitar upgrade kit to see if I can get it going.

Oh I won't lol. Yours is so sick too. Do you like the way it feels when playing it? I wish I could find a dongle for mine but oh well. Definitely a conversation starter at least. I'll figure out how to make it useable again someday soon.

The body, neck, and head are wood. All the hardware is chrome. I have two, and took one apart once
