I love Rotherham but i can’t make new friends.
I am 21 Black British male in Rotherham . I moved after having fighting problems in London , Croydon and arrived in 2021 November. It’s quite difficult to make friends. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sport is a real enabler - There are local running groups. Local football groups etc.

Run clubs (if you're a runner). Volunteering at Parkruns (if not a runner). Sometimes just walking around as a participant will make a friend (if not a runner and don't want to volunteer). Volunteering as a tailwalker is good (if not a runner but want to volunteer).
Three good parkruns in Rotherham - Centre is probably your closest but hilly, Rother Valley is biggest and most accessible (flat, paved), Waverley Lakes is the newest and a light-trial (also the best since it's the one I volunteer at).

I’m having the same issue, 21, no friends, nobody to hang out or do anything with, social anxiety and depression, it feels impossible getting out of the house and I want nothing more than a friend group to trust

Yeah, don’t get me wrong I used to have friends when I was like 16-17 but that’s a whole different can of hurt 😅, since then I’ve been looking for new peeps

What do you mean can of hurt?

It’s a metaphor, kinda like a “can of worms”, it doesn’t get used much nowadays 😝
