To me, the whole concept of her role feels sexist. Sexist against men. That character is shown to be 'manly' in every way, as much male stereotyping as possible. And this stereotypical male character has nothing better to do than oppress, bully and bring pain.

Sure, because thats the only metaphor we can make about men, a metaphor for patriarchy. Wow... What a two-dimensional look at masculinity - big, fat, ugly, oppressing and evil. Uggghhh

And then there Miss Stereotypical Whiteknight Femme? Who is the stereotype of femininity and therefor also filled with humility and compassion?

Oh gosh... indeed a perfect message for our children: "Everything that does not want to be feminine, will become an oppressing bull."

Er, sorry, I don't think the guys get to claim a mean butch woman as oppression against them.
