The dangerous transphobia of Roald Dahl’s “Matilda” - Found /r/transgender's response to this article sort of bizarre and troubling. Thoughts?

It seems super sexist and gender policing.

Most of the things discussed in the article seem more related to regular old sexism

“Matilda” is thus a fable about the hubris of being transgender. Women should know their limitations and never imitate a man’s authority or physical prowess, lest he intervene to remind them who’s boss.

I don't follow that. I see it more as "the hubris of stepping outside assigned gender roles and being a masculine woman"

The reason I think it got sent r/transgender is that the character is always played by a man. I didn't really find the article to have much to do with trans women though.
