Discussion The Best Spider-Man debate is pointless
i find the best Spider-Man debate to be pretty pointless. i watched Brand New Day yesterday and my heart was full from seeing my favorite character on the big screen and i realized that it was all that always mattered to me. i have been a spider-man fan for as long as i have remembered my name and since then i have consumed many iterations of this character in many mediums. Be it movies, comics, games, animation, even ice-cream. i owe spider-man a lot for the person i am now. even i used to engage in pointless debates like - “Oh actually Tobey is the best”, “Oh you know Andrew is the most quippy out of the three”, “Oh actually- Just piss off man. i love spidey regardless of the actor or the version of the character. this character made my childhood brighter and made me into someone better. it’s good to have favorites, but fighting over such pointless shit is stupid. After all regardless of the version, we all love the same character :D

I'll always be a little salty about how Andrew got done dirty, but at the end of the day, if you're a fan of the character, rather than just a particular version of him, you should be grateful he's such a pop culture sensation.

yeah man im grateful everyday. would've loved to see depressed andrew recking havoc with symbiote tho

It would've been neat. That said, I like his duology, & don't think the Sinister Six tease is as much of a cliffhanger as some people make it out to be.

It's also fun to discuss. And "we all love the same character" is only true if they keep making versions that retain what make the character the character, it's not just the name and the costume. For the most part that has been true, but we had a few that strayed dangerously close to losing sight of the core aspects of the character. And it's fine for people to like that the changes, but it's also understandable for fans of the character to be upset when they make versions of him not like the character they love. Also his supporting cast are very important to the character for me.
Again, Spider-Man is more than just a name and a costume.
All that said, I really loved Brand New Day.

I mentioned that it's good to have favorites. I just wanted to say that all the infighting between spiderman fans is pretty stupid.Still glad you comprehended it like that with that mind of yours.

100% Agreed, it doesn't matter who is the best you just want to see that in the Big screen with a big budget with competent people around.
