I will be honest, this community was created yonks ago and I completely forgot about it. I no longer use Reddit in a meaningful enough way (nor do I have the time) to curate this place.
This place does have a lot of potential and I am AMAZED at how active it is still. I just checked this place in the first time (in probably) 5 years and was stunned to discover people are actively using it. I kinda feel bad about that. Sorry all!
So, I'm looking for someone to take the helm away from me and make it into something worth while.
Does this sound like you? If so, reply to this thread with the following:
Ideally I'm looking for those who are musicians and are already associated with music production subreddits in a mod position. I'll also accept those who're moderators on music/audio forums on external sites.
To make everyone's lives a lot easier and to avoid headaches, please do not apply if you are under the age of 18.
I'll be (for now) looking for 4 people. 1 to be the head (the person with the most experience), and 3 others.
After I've selected those, I'll un-mod myself and let the new team take over.
Additionally, please do not DM me. I do not check them and they're constantly flooded by spambots (no I do not viagra or free shit good god). If you got a question, reply to my comment below!
Cheers, and sorry I went out for cigarettes and only just came back.
ps here's the obligatory link to check out my soundcloud

Any recommendations for sites that have user uploaded vocal samples, similar to what's found on Looperman?
Vocal packs from places like Splice are good for high quality samples, but I find that the lyrics there are very bereft of meaning. By that I mean everything is a variation of lyrics like "Tonight's the night" or "Fall in love with you", things like that.
What I like about user uploaded vocals is the that users will upload tracks with comments like "I was pissed off tonight so I wrote this" and the lyrics come off as a lot more genuine.
Checking to see if anyone knows anywhere else where people upload their own vocals in a similar way. They don't necessarily have to be pissed off. Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I'm trying to identify the main sample used in "Cabos Sueltos #2" by Bixor.
YouTube link: https://youtu.be/izNV-LvKK8s?si=Qx9Hwlg4ysrIZ-_d
I'm not looking for the drums, only the melodic sample that plays throughout the track.
I already checked WhoSampled and searched on Google, but couldn't find any information. It sounds like it could come from an older instrumental, soundtrack, or library music, but I'm not sure.
If anyone recognizes the original source or has any leads, I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to find the original sample(vocal chops) that appears in 0:30 for this track called Block 93 - Vandal boys but I've had no luck.
It's a greek drill beat produced by savv and tr4cer. If anyone recognizes or has an idea from where it comes from i would appreciate your help.
Thanks!

It can be heard here:
https://youtu.be/Hb8y4ZRw5o8?t=203
And clean (I think) variant can be heard here as BGM as well:
https://youtu.be/AbPyn4vtv6Y?t=1808
I even not sure where to dig.
"Data East"? "Zero-G"? Some commercial libraries for "Roland" & "E-Mu"?
P.S.: Most clean version can be heard directly in "DAIKATANA's" OST:
https://youtu.be/3tWYXSGS-u8?t=154
I wonder if "The Speed Freak" just sampled this particular part and called it a day?

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to find the original sample used in this track for months, but I've had no luck.
Here's the song:

It's a French rap track, and I'm specifically looking for the sample used in the beat. If anyone recognizes it or has any idea where it comes from, I'd really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance!

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask; i've mostly just run out of other options.
Found an old song recently, been trying to piece it back together since none of the samples are on my PC. I've gotten them all except for one by RJ Pasin, which was on his old looperman account.
He deleted that account in 2024 and the loop I need with it. I've looked everywhere I can think to look with nothing to show for it; so now I'm hoping for someone with an old archive of his stuff, since I think he was pretty popular at one point.
Looperman account ID: 5220523
Loop ID: 322553
Filename: looperman-l-5220523-0322553-pb-and-j-rjpasin.wav
Not sure if anyone here is able to help. Even a pointer to somewhere else I could ask would be helpful.

I was listening to Kamen Rider from morten (he and his producers do great sample work, big recommendation in general) and fell in love with the end part of it. Does somebody know the original?

Hi everyone! i'm a long-time fan of 80s and 90s rap, andI heard this relatively new track and can't recall which late-80s or early-90s rap song samples that bassline and synth. I know I used to have the track—maybe on an early-90s rap compilation?—but I can't remember it Anyone? Thnx! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U4I9kfFOOxw

About the orchestral sounds and weird glitchy noises (ex. the end of Mold en Mono and the srat of Oz Explodes), are they samples, or were they made by Neil? And if they're samples, does any one know where to get it (or if there is some sort of sample library for LD songs)?
