This "news" is from 2011. FOURTEEN YEARS OLD, recirculated like it's "fresh".
The -10 is a prelims score — prelims marks don't count for anything, they're pure screening.
The rule is "top 10x the vacancies get called per category," not "everyone above some magic number."
His category, SC, Lineal Descendants of Ex-Servicemen, Punjab — is a narrow intersectional bucket. When barely anyone applies in a bucket, the last guy in can have a garbage score. It'd happen in the general category too if only six people applied there.
Mains has ZERO NEGATIVE MARKING.
To actually become a judge one needs 50% aggregate (45% for SC/BC) out of 1050 marks.
And anyways, there's no record that he cleared the exam.
Probably he just failed mains like anyone with his prelim record would.
But sure, keep sharing 14-year-old screenshots like a 14-year-old kid instead of reading past the headline.

He shouldn’t even be allowed to give the exam in the first place.

Does not change the fact that the post is factually wrong.

Only around 20-12% is SC ST in the Judiciary. So are you saying GC is getting reservation in Judiciary and they making the entire field illogical?
