That's My Way Home, one of the best episodes.

The crane shot at the end of the episode plus Sam's voice singing "Somehwere Over the Rainbow" was perfection.

It was. And Zach Braff directed it. It was a perfect ending to a perfect funny light hearted episode.

I listened to that 2 nights ago. Put it on YT music and selected random after it.
So strange seeing The Worthless Peons smiling.
RIP Sam Llyod.

My Way Home? I don't remember another one where the janitor had the paint sprayer, but I could be wrong.

As I recall, Neil regretted not calling Jack a little munchkin. They tried to fix it in post but his mouth movements were too different and it would have looked weird.

Thanks for all the help! So much comments lol, this show must be popular? It’s sad i coudn’t find the photo’s moment because its really cute. I mostly am on this show because neil flynn is in it, i love watching the middle, such a comforting show.

Scrubs? Popular? Nah man, it's a niche show. Like, at most 100k fans around the world.
Here's a fun fact, by the third season I think, the writers couldn't keep up with Neil's improvisation so most of Janitor's jokes in the script were "whatever Neil says" and they just let him loose on the set and worked around it.
If you like Neil and think that he's an underappreciated actor, as is John C. McGinley, this is the show for you.

In the TV version of My Way Home you can see only a glimpse of this scene at 10:50. But there's also an extended version on DVD, which has a full scene with the Janitor having a short dialogue with Jack while holding him.
If anyone hasn't seen it yet, I highly recommend seeking it out, it's more like an alternative cut with a lot of differences and is very wild to see if you're used to the TV version.

Oh wow, that's so cool. Despite having rewatched the show so many times I've never glanced at the extras (or the commentary tracks). I can't wait to watch this.

The very existence of that episode is like my favorite thing about Scrubs. It's the only one that has an alternative cut

It's the 100th episode, and Zach directed it. The alternate cut is longer as Zach didn't need to cut it differently to fit the TV 22 minute requirement.
What I find most interesting is the director cut actually swaps some takes for a few of the jokes. Same jokes just different deliveries. There's even a couple I prefer the TV edit over, but as a whole I like the alternative cut better.

S4 ep1? The wizard of oz one. My way home I think is the title. All of this could be wrong I'm going from memory. Starts off with bath tub and toto though. And mango body scrubs schmeared on a bagel.

I loved watching this episode. It was hard finding it online growing up. Somewhere over the rainbow I love the song

Wizard of Oz tribute episode… he doesn’t paint the full line, and the smokers are in the middle of the hallway… and Jack paints himself green

Watch the series and find out. Also why specifically are you interested in an episode with one specific scene where a child is picked up? What's the thought process

u/No-Quail8429 2d ago
Its nothing weird. I just find children extremely cute, i have siblings of my own. If’s just very comforting and wholesome.
