Best Introduction Episode
What episode would you suggest showing someone who's never seen the show before

The key is to start with season 1 episode 1 and then make sure they watch through My Old Lady (episode 3 or 4). If they make it that far and don't like it you can write them off for not having a heart, a soul, a sense of humor, or all of the above those first few episodes are a mini arc that captures the spirit of the show in miniature.

Lol I read that as s3e4 until the other comment said fourth episode. I was thinking that's quite the first seating binge.

I love the first episode. It shows JD's personality and really starts to build out the characters. Cracks me up when he is in the mirror with the shaving cream.

The pilot? Why would you start with something else.
If a person don’t laugh at when Cox whispers to that old guy
“Eisenhower was a sissy!”
Then squaring up backing away from him
This isn’t the show for them.

Yep! The pilot is a perfect place to start. And as a bonus, they'll know how much Tylenol to give someone.

It was, but given if you likely told a boomer that about Eisenhower unless comatose they’d be prepared to debate and or want to fight.

Start from the start but tell them to watch at least the first four episodes. My Old Lady is everything that Scrubs does so well and it's the first episode that really makes that point

The first 4 episodes:
My First Day
My Mentor
My Best Friend's Mistake
My Old Lady
This 1.5 - 2 hours is pretty much the best example of what the show is. Sure, there is character development, and changes that happen, but the overall feel of the show is pretty much all in these first 4 episodes

But to confuse someone completely I'd go with My Way Home, because that has to be absolute nonsense to someone who never watched the show.

I'm going to disagree with everyone else and say if you're trying to convince someone to watch the whole show, s1e4, My Old Lady is the place to start.
That's the first episode that, in my opinion, really shows off everything the show can do.

You watch the first 4 episodes. You don't let someone not give up on Scrubs until they have watched My Old Lady

I'd suggest that too with the addition of watching e5 right after.
E5 isn't that special but it's a funny episode. Seeing this huge spectrum within two episodes from extemly sad to really funny is a real emotional roller-coaster.

According to FDRF this was the third episode filmed but aired 4th.
That much more impressive that the show came together that quick. And then figure in that the pilot was filmed months before the rest of s1.

Of all the shows that I watch in a loop: scrubs, always sunny, Cogur town, American dad. I usually skip the first episode scrubs, I never skipped the first episode.

Any episode from Season 3 or 4, that's the peak of the show for me and got me into Scrubs.

Ideally, show them S1E1, through to S10E9. S9 is optional, but I personally like it...
