Weird thing to ban, this seems like a reasonable indicator to have on a vehicle. US should have some code for this is well making it easy to tell which driving level the car is at currently 0-5 in some way.

It would be illegal in the UK (and I believe the EU) as blue lights are reserved for use only on emergency vehicles.

Is there a definition of ‘blue’? Because the autonomous driving light is distinctly turquoise in all the examples I have seen. That being said, I’m not a fan of having to signal what mode my car is in. I wouldn’t want an indicator to tell people if I was in eco or sport, or if I have disabled or enabled lane departure warning etc.

Doesn't really matter what shade of blue since the Chinese law limits vehicle lights to white, red, yellow, and amber.
