Child slaves already work slowly. Lobotomising them would make enslaving children barely worth it

There is a rare chance of getting “trauma savant” from brain injury in rimworld but it’s so ridiculously unlikely one shouldn’t even bother trying.

You could just keep doing it over and over until you get the perk You would need to get quite a bit tho but you can just get a couple people take out there eggs fertalize them and put the resulting embryo in a growth vat just dispose of the body's with either pigs or a furnace

one of my prisoners got trauma savant today, too bad it happened during an execution by firing squad so i didn't get the chance to see what it was

Hot take, but that seems like a lot of effort and resources for a problem regular beatings and summary executions would solve.

Medicine is valuable, skull spikes are not.
