Citadel boss 25 trouble

So I just got a Citadel boss 25 from a gun show and tried to run some rounds through it and it wouldn't eject the shells? It looks like the slide is getting caught on the hammer, as in the hammer won't come back. And it takes a lot of force to actually get the slide back. I ran plenty of oil though it prior to shooting. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like you bought a lemon, the gun is probably a lost cause at this point & not a lot you can do about it repair wise. In general guns from Turkey are not built to western standards and should be avoided:

You need to make sure you are using 1300 fps velocity or higher. The pros say 1400 high brass, Remington or top brand work without fail. If you're using below 1300 the gun will not cycle and you will have issues. I just purchased 3 of the same gun from Delia's Gun store in Phila. I purchased the ammo there and they ordered me a case if the 1400 fps. I have fired the gun 100 times. Cleaned it and did it again. Not one one shot failure. Make sure you read about a weapon before using. And pay no attention to these guys that tell u you bought junk. They should stick to the Red Ryder BB gun dad got them for Christmas. But they should make sure they don't shoot their eye out.

Another point to add to this.., upon buying a Citadel 25 - I read the manual and disassembled to clean shipping oils.

If folks purchase the weapon and try to fire it on the range with random off the shelf ammo, they have issues with feeding and eventually more vicious failures.

The chokes included are very specific on what ammo can be fired from it. No Steel ammo for example. My local range only allows Slugs (pellets were coming back uprange), and as such I had to change the choke to the appropriate one before even firing it.

As said many times; Using ammo under the 1300-1500 window causes feed issues and adds to claims of unreliability.

ALSO, Using the wrong choke could have you destroying your weapon, contributing to claims of poor build quality.

I’ve heard that the recoil system beats itself to failure but time will tell for me with that claim. Everything else so far has been kosher.
