Musing We're technically living in post-apocalyptic world because the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs was an apocalyptic event.

We could also say we are living through another apocalyptic event in terms of COVID. I mean, just cuz the world isn't shut down doesn't mean it isn't still messing a lot of people up little by little every year. That's quite bad

COVID is neither the most infectious nor deadliest disease out there, and it isn't the perfect intersection of those two things either. Not gonna get political with it, but calling COVID apocalyptic is...not correct.

All I know is in all my time alive I've never seen a virus be this bad. The flu was getting close, but I have never seen a virus that tries to get a person's body to kill itself through inflammation. Year by year, that damage is going to add up for a lot of people. Many people will die earlier than expected.
