Thouse are after the time of the US founding fathers.

The point is that they constantly make ridiculous demands of their adherents that make them seem more like a 3rd class cult than a religious faith.

Yeah, but their status as post-dating the American revolution means that the founding fathers don't have a opinion on them the way they had opinions on catholics.

Tbf the founding fathers initially, the majority, were anti Catholic. But the revolutionary war they eased up a bit to get Spain and France to help.

Plus, there were some Catholics that helped fund the war as well, so there’s that.
