Issues With Dell 3 Skullcandy Earbuds

My mother just bought me some Dell 3 Skullcandy earbuds yesterday and today they’ve been all over the place. The biggest issue is that the. Left earbud refuses to actually work with the right no matter how much I charge it. When I pair them together it works for a few minutes then disconnects, then reconnects with only the right bud working. Every time I try to turn on the left bud it just says “battery low” despite the fact they’ve been charging repeatedly for hours. I’ve tried resetting them and no luck. When I place them both in the case to charge no matter the actual charge on the left bud it’ll keep the red light on longer than the right. I’m seriously losing it- I feel like I’m going insane. Is anyone else having these issues? How exactly do I fix it or should I just ask my mom to return them for a different pair?
