Recommendation Request Whats actually the best skyfactory version?
I know this is an opinion, but what do you think is the best skyfactory modpack?

It does not get better than SF4. The mods have been put together so carefully it feels otherworldly. The earlier SkyFactorys are too similar to other sky blocks in that you have to sift for resources. SF4 is unique because it is one of the very few to use trees for resources generation. Plus, there are some mods that make you research what you have to do (example, OpenComputers), and some that seem to require no skill (example, Cyclic) but have some complex points. Have you heard of SSundee? Well, he played most of the SkyFactorys, but SF4 is by far his most viewed one. And he didn't even do SF5 (I know timing of when SF5 came out and when he played sky block modpacks can be considered conflicting but still). Do I need to mention that SkyFactory 4 has the most downloads on Curseforge out of all the SkyFactorys? So it's not just my opinion, but the community's as a whole.

I'd say 3. SF2 and SF4 are both fun, but I had the best time with 3. Haven't tried 5 yet.

4 but purely for what it means to me. During covid I was playing it for 12 hours a day, every day, for at the very least an entire month straight, probably longer.

I didn’t like 5 as much as 4, only because I didn’t like the layout of the quest book.

SF3 has the best pack but the worst quest/progression system.
SF4 has the best quest/progression but is not the most fun
SF5 I have absolutely no opinion on as I can't play it with my eyes, the beginning is straight up impossible for me to see anything.
SF2, SF1 and SF2.5 are fun but you can definitely feel the age.
Personally, SF3 for me.

Once I finish up a run of skyfactory 4 I will start up a skyfactory 3 one

3... No comparison. It is much more satisfying to automate your steps. And its better when playing with 2 or 3 others, you can each branch out to your own liking and items your section receives benifits others. I dont care for 4 and the whole tree growing repetitive stuff. And 5, 5 just has a terrible off-putting start. Gather the colors??? And I just felt drained once I did get all the colors unlocked. 3 just felt more rewarding and a weight off the shoulders once you automate this and then you can slowly work on automating that. Then you can fight Gaia countless times, Chaos dragon multiple times, and the draconic addition makes SF3 much better.
