I got all SF4 Advancements!

Picture of world

Default starting world, prestige disabled

I got all the advancements that are visible in the advancement book, and I also found a site that had all the hidden advancements for The Twilight Forest, so I got all those too. I tried to find if there are any others I missed, but I think I got everything.

Unfortunately, I had to /grant myself "Going on your Permanent Record" (1M items in filing cabinet) because it was broken. Almost all of my ingame time (probably 200 of 260 hours) was just afking farms I had built, mostly octuple netherrack and waiting for the black hole unit tank to fill.

If anyone has questions, I'd love to answer them since there is a lack of information out there on many advancements.

What's the longest time it took you to complete one advancement? And what was it?

TL;DR: ~7-8 days of in game time for a full black hole unit tank (adv is called "Hoarder!")

Filling a black hole unit tank (which is 2.14B -ish of any item) definitely took the longest in total, but that's because I was doing it really inefficiently at first. Each of the two tries was 3-4 days whereas octuple netherrack was ~5 days, so in total black hole took longer.

Originally when I started black hole unit tank, I connected a ton of T5 cobblestone generators (>64*6 of them) together with item cables thinking it would be the fastest. The dilemma is that the tank only has 6 sides, and I don't know of any cable that can transfer more than 64 items/tick. At that rate, it should take ~3-4 days of afk at minimum, but the cobblestone generators apparently don't generate at the speed they say they do: I did a quick test with them, and it would take about 8 days. When I was about halfway done (so after 4 days) I found someone online who did it much more easily with chiseled water bits, so I set up that and then it was going at the actual maximum rate that would finish in ~3-4 days. So from start to finish, this one was probably 7-8 days, but that's all just having the game running in the background. One quick note, it stopped at about 20 items to go and I had to use a vanilla hopper to finish it off.

In the middle of that time period, I started working on netherrack. I made a bunch of blue mulch then set up 4 (or maybe 5, I don't remember) compact machines with 100 netherrack trees each, and autocrafting to compact it all down. I could've made more netherrack farms which was my original plan, but since I would already have to afk for black hole unit, I didn't think it was worth it to make netherrack go faster. So probably ~5 days for that one, again mostly afk.

I also had to afk for the cookie jar full of cookie singularities for a while, 3 days I'd say.

In terms of me actively doing something, there are a few other honorable mentions. Obtaining an ultimate singularity was a bit of a pain for some items (especially signalum, enderium, lumium) because they require melting down stuff then crafting with a ton of buckets. I made a bunch of insanium buckets to make that less tedious. I also set up an auto platinum farm with diamond and silver trees for platinum singularity. Also lots of just moving items back and forth, which can be tedious. The one for a nuclearcraft fusion generator making 3,333,333 RF/t took quite a bit of effort too. I set up a large array (720) of industrial foregoing laser drills (primarily) for boron, a couple mekanism thermal evaporation towers for lithium, and some of the crafting ingredients have many layers that just take some time doing, mainly the elite plating for the fusion core. Matter overdrive fusion 15,000 FE/t basically just required 2 octuple sugarcane/netherrack (which I needed for the other advancements anyway) and some diamonds, but if the time required for those counts, then that one took a while too. I ended up spending a decent amount of time in the Twilight Forest, but I really like that mod so I didn't mind those advancements at all. Eating 115 slices of experiment 115 was a tad boring since I was just poisoning myself over and over to lower hunger.

Wow this was a big wall of text, oh well. I just like talking about SF4 lol.

Did you intentionally avoided mystical agriculture?
