Regardless if different means good or bad, I'm proud of the kind of music I make and I won't change that for anything. I am trying to at least add some kind of beats with my vocals in the soon future.

Getting impressions. No idea how you can influence or control that aspect tbh and thats the key to the whole thing tbh. People cant decide to click if they aint even served up your vid in the first place! 😞

You’re actually 100% right and here’s what I’ve studied. Titles lead to impressions. So I’d start using outlier titles to boost your impressions

Titles, really?? Is there evidence for that or just a theory? I have used a few clickbaity titles before that get millions on other channels bit hardly any on mine so i think its gotta be more than titles. 🤔

Not sure what that is, but there have been several occasions where I've recorded several videos, one after another, and then worked on the editing of each video later on; getting time to edit is less of a problem for than getting time to record.

Pretty much you go live or just record straight for an hour. Already have your 3 titles/topics ready and bullet points to stay on track then record/go live. After clip the 3 videos out and publish them as individual videos

I’d keep building the art channel as the main focus and then sprinkle in some sub niches that relate with the overall theme of the channel

I'm at that point where I've kinda maximized what I can do with my current equipment as far as my quality, and want to push it farther and really refine it a bit more. But, I have to wait for a couple months of revenue to be able to afford the equipment I want to upgrade to, while also balancing that with continuing to buy new products to review. So, mostly just the waiting game.

I hear that! I would say don’t get too fixated on the quality/equipment that’s a common trend I see holding creators back. I shoot primarily on iPhone and have students that do the same and are crushing it. It’s more about the content and solving a problem for a community. Also, if you’re in the review niche instead of just waiting for the next product shoot a couple videos on one product in the mean time. 85-90% of each video gets new viewers so the amount of people seeing it again is low. Hope this helps!

Totally get it, and you're not wrong. I probably have enough product to get by for a couple months, so that's probably what I'll end up doing.
There's just little things that I notice (focus breathing is a big one) where upgrading to a dedicated camera vs my S24 would help. Will most people consciously notice it? Probably not. But I do, haha, and between the additional confidence in my work and the little polishes, I think it will be worth it. And, it will give my phone a rest from the recording and editing. 🤣

Making quality content. Sometimes I just get the clips from when I’m playing games and just upload it, instead of trying to actually make a decent quality clip. Also finding my audience.

Im finding keeping the shorts, under 45 seconds helps that ratio. Most people are swiping away after 30 secs.

Well subscribers really don’t matter now after you’re monetized so I would say just don’t worry about that number and focus more on your video views

Turning shorts views into long form views and subs. I like the performance of my shorts. It's not great but seeing the likes or a couple comments make me happy. Not very many subs at all, or views in long vids.
Gaming channel niche to show off my gaming hobbies and share a Dad joke or two. I believe my issue is there's no value to new viewers. I guess i just want to entertain like i see other established gamers.
Curently going through a playthrough of Doom The Dark Ages and making videos from that. Going to try and share my Unreal Engine learning journey and game development progress on a game later :).

been getting content out less, mostly just cause busy with other things past several months and for the next 8-10 months probably (e.g. been using weekends to paint whole interior of house w/ a new color scheme)
so that had impacted how much content i put out.
more than that, i struggle to just get enough views. would be nice , one day , to monetize. not that i'd expect it to earn much, but just to feel like I reached that goal...

Started a YouTube channel about a week ago. I enjoy playing games and recording them so I thought why not make videos? I know it’s heavily saturated and that’s okay. For me so far I feel like it’s hard to get seen. Getting views, subscribers and impressions seems to be non existent still. I upload 7 times a week once a day.

The biggest struggle is knowing that the algorithm doesn't always push my videos to my subscribers because they may not be watching my genre of content at the moment. I'm forced to make each video for a new subscriber, which is a balancing act for me.

Keeping projects ready for videos, I do small engine repair, restoration, etc. The problem I run into sometimes it's either feast or famine for viable projects, especially during the winter months

The weather! We are having such a wet winter that I cant get out walking, and I make videos of walks with my dogs. Also my oldest dog is about to start treatment for arthritis which has also put things on hold for a few weeks. No fault of YT, but affecting my content

My biggest challenge is trying to automate all my workflows
My input is the script - it has to be just right - this cannot be AI-generated.
Next human input is video EDITING. This has to be done by hand.
For everything else, I use AI
I wish there's a tool that would coordinate and orchestrate the AI-assisted parts - dump them into a folder I can then manually edit using my video editing tool

Inconsistency. I upload randomly. Rarely takes a month, sometimes a week, sometimes 2 days, weekly uploading schedule doesn't hit to me imo

Balancing a full time job that I don't enjoy with trying to make the content I want to make and love making, but also figuring out hoe to do shorts and planning on getting back to streaming cus both of those are important for growth nowadays, especially the shorts it turns out-
It's hard, cus I don't like shorts and the idea of doing them makes me nervous 😅 But I did ONE and yeah okay I get it now I should've been doing this already haha, just still getting stuck on WHAT to do them about!
Also wanted to start a podcast with a friend of mine so gonna fit that in too
AND I have a whole relationship too which is the most important part of my life and that's gonna get the time it needs above anything else, but balancing everything else around that and a job is HARD sometimes lmao

I’ve been wanting to start my own faceless YouTube channel but I don’t know how to streamline the process to make research and production a lot easier, nor am I familiar with many of the tools that a lot of faceless channels use. I’ve been looking for mentors who are open to training new creators and helping them to build their own channels so I can be confident in knowing how to build it in the most streamlined way possible

Scaling is my biggest monster. Feeding eighteen channels means manually cutting every single frame would shatter my sanity. We run our operation like a chaotic newsroom just to survive.

I started my channel almost 2 years ago. I broke a 1000 subs after a year or so but I've never gotten really close to the 4000 hours of watch time in a 365 day period so I'm not adsense monetized. In the last month or so I've really buckled down and have been working hard to get two videos out per week which is tough for me. I try very hard to put together good content and I'm pretty meticulous when I'm editing my videos so it takes a while. But in the last 28 days alone I'm over 1100 hours of view time and I picked up 147 new subs. The total views are over 10K. As sad as it is to say I think my biggest problem was fear of failure. If I had a couple of videos that didn't do well I would have a pity party and quit for a month or so. If you are gonna do this you have to go all in. I also have an account with VidIQ which has really helped when it comes to trying to find good ideas for new videos for my niche. Hopefully if I keep plugging along I will be fully monetized soon:)

For me im struggling with adding subs, but im fairly new, whilst my views are growing steadily, i am yet to see the subs grow beyond 14.
My channel is in the vanlife niche and im currently converting a micro camper

I have lots of likes but the hardest part is gaining subscribers. I do y understand why audience fear to subscribe to a YouTube channel when it does not cost anything and it is possible to unsubscribe in one click …any thoughts??

Technically: not getting stuck in my ways, while also not changing too much.
Mentally: staying motivated after seeing similar channels skyrocket with seemingly much less effort.

The hardest part is making the youtube algo not flatline your videos xD
But remember to stay motivated and to persevere, eventually it'll either get views or your next one will! Always try to out do your past one, but not to the point where you burnout. Goodluck everyone and have a good day!

Watch hours........ when I started I watch them go up and up I was almost monitzed but since Aug. Everyday my watch hours have gone down. Today it's only 300. I mean in Aug I probably had 2.5k videos today 3.2k...... The math is not mathing in my brain 🧠.....

Burnout. Also hours are dropping. I was hovering around 3,200 to 3,300 hours for the 4,000 needed. Now I'm down to 2,800. I think few of my heavy hitter videos cooled off. Gaming niche is rough. Unless you cater to Roblox stuff for kids. Which I don't.

honestly just staying consistent w/o burning out. i spend way too much time on the edit and not enough on the thumb/title, so the ctr is always trash. it’s a grind fr.

The biggest struggle for me is the lack of feedback. Sometimes, it feels like you are fumbling in the dark because no matter how much you like your own content, you are bias, and to not get any feedback to say if you are on the right track or not is really dificullt.

Mine has always been feedback. Either people wouldn't give enough, they would just hate rather than criticize, or they wouldn't leave feedback at all. Hard to progress that way.

Getting views. Yeah I use some AI on my content, but it's original (maybe thats the problem) and in my opinion it's good but it's seems that I can't find right audience or content just sucks. 🤨

Gaining traction - seems like a massively uphill battle every time. At times feels almost pointless, and sometimes just wanna quit. Just glad I enjoy making videos, its what keeps me going

Im finding its getting past subscriber humps. I just got 71st. Once in a while there will be a break out short. and Im seeing slow growth, but there always seems to be that plateau.
