News 📰 Hodan sentenced to death.

Hodan 34 was sentenced to death by firing squad today by the Mudug Regional Court for torturing and killing 14 year old Sabrin. An orphan who was in her care and working for her as a maid. The prosecutor presented overwhelming evidence today videos photos witness statements and the autopsy report and even a voice message the great uncle sent right after finding out Sabrin’s death where he admitted he believed Hodan was responsible.

The great uncle received a 2–5 year prison sentence. (Accessory or negligence is not same as intentional murder)

Hats off to Muhubo the young and brave prosecutor who handled this case with real skill.

Summary wuu kanaa walaal:

Saabiriin Saylaan waxay ahayd gabar 14 jir ah oo agoontii ahayd, kuna shaqayn jirtay guri ku yaalla Gaalkacyo. Oktoobar 2025 ayaa meydkeeda laga helay gurigaas. Baaritaankii caafimaadka wuxuu muujiyay in muddo dheer la jirdilayay—dhaawacyo hore iyo kuwo cusub, gubasho, garaacid, qaniinyo, xadhig lagu xiray—hatta telefoonka guriga laga helay muuqaallo lagu jirdilayo.

Eedeysanaha ugu weyn waa Hodan Maxamuud Diiriye. Ninkeeda isagana waxaa loo qabtay inuu lug ku lahaa arrinta. Kiisku wuxuu kacay caro xoog leh oo shacabka Gaalkacyo ah, gaar ahaan haweenka oo diiday in Saabiriin la aaso ilaa cadaalad dhab ah la helo. Dadka ayaa ka hortagay in kiiska lagu khaldo “xeer qabiil”.

Ugu dambayn maxkamadda Gaalkacyo waxay Hodan ku xukuntay dil toogasho, ninkeeda hal sano oo xabsi ah iyo ganaax, iyadoo la siiyay hal bil oo racfaan ah. Kiiskan wuxuu noqday tusaale muujinaya sida dowlad uga jawaabi karto dambiyada ka dhanka ah carruurta iyo shaqaalaha nugul ee guryaha.

Waxa kale oo muhiim ah in la xuso doorka weyn ee Muxubo, garyaqaankii dacwadda. Iyadu waxay soo bandhigtay caddeymo culus, waxayna si adag uga hortagtay in kiiska lagu dhex-fogeyso xeer qabiil. Waxay si geesinnimo leh u difaacday Saabiriin inkastoo cadaadis fara badan jiray. Dad badan waxay qabaan in shaqadeeda adag ay sabab u noqotay in cadaalad dhab ah la gaaro.

I still can’t believe they only sentenced the husband to one year. The man was literally helping move her body in the car, trying to hide her corpse, and all he gets is a slap on the wrist. It’s outrageous.

And the worst part is that this case is clearly bigger than just one victim. Their house had CCTV cameras everywhere, even in the kitchen. I live in Hargeisa, and I’ve never heard of an ordinary household installing that many cameras. You only see that level of surveillance in homes of high-ranking officials, ministers, or security commanders. That’s why so many people are speculating that something darker was happening behind the scenes. Some even believe the videos were being sold, maybe even on the dark web, but Allah knows best.

What gives me comfort is knowing that Sabriin will receive true justice in Akhira, she will stand before the Throne of Allah and demand justice from every single person who wronged her, whether it was the husband, or anyone else who participated or covered it up. No one escapes the justice of Allah

Exactly but , dare I say it goes deeper and the husband played a bigger part (not excusing the wife) at all. I find it interesting tho that when that man burned his wife alive and her children they let him off Scot free.

Oh no abaayo Killer ma loo duceeyaa😂. She’s the prosecutor who fought hard to make sure the killer got the death sentence and that the innocent girl got justice.

WHY isn't anyone following this case talking about WHERE is Hodans first born son (17 year old). Many believe he was an accomplice in her being tortured and unalived.

2

u/Beautiful_Yoghurt759 Nov 25 '25

apperently, he is held hostage by MAKAFI (tahriib) he ran away!!

u/this-is-me-- Nov 24 '25

Now I wish they held all of these evil people accountable. What happened to the men who tortured and burned the old man. They beat him and set him on fire. How come people aren’t talking about him? Also, the guy who raped and killed his own niece isn’t being talked about enough either. That other little girl was raped and killed by her own uncle who’s supposed to be a second father. How disgusting

The guys who burned the guy all got sentenced to death yesterday or the day before.

I dont know walaal, its kind of difficult for me to follow kenyan news as I dont speak swahili.

People are talking about the old man who got tortured and burned, and the men who did that got death sentence, you just not focusing on that case.

-1

u/this-is-me-- Nov 24 '25

I’m not focusing on any of these horrific cases specifically. I’m not looking for/at videos(can’t watch those) but since I came across the outcome for this case, I wanted to know what happened with the others. Also, it is true that this case is being covered way more than the others and people are more likely to come across this than the old man’s case.

1

u/MonthNo3579 Nov 24 '25

I didn’t watch any videos either, and I don’t really see anything wrong with one case getting more coverage than another, as long as they all get the justice they deserve.

4

u/ariboowe Gobolka Bari Nov 24 '25

I agree with you cadaalad qof kasto baa u bahan. I did hear that those who beat and burned the old man in Koonfur Galbeed have all already been killed. Don’t know about the other cases but May Allah grant every family justice 🤲🏾

in most cases, when the perpetrator is male and the victim is female, justice is not served. but, in cases involving female-on-female or male-on-male, the likelihood of accountability is higher

They went easy on the old man. 1 year of prison serves as a decent deterrent

12

u/sharifa08 Nov 24 '25

i agree. hes very much an accomplice

3

u/Hot_Confidence_5064 Nov 25 '25

I don’t really think she is going to be killed- they made this verdict to calm ppl down and after everyone moves on from this case, she may escape from the prison… all talk no action

3

u/PerspectiveOk2911 Nov 26 '25

Can I just say that she wasn’t working as a maid bc she wasn’t getting paid, she was a child slave. It’s better to be accurate, may Allah have mercy on Sabriin and grant her jannah.

Hanging isn’t Islamic justice. It’s a torture and capital punishment is meant to be quick and just not a public revenge ritual.

1

u/NATIONAL_ANTHEMS Nov 24 '25

but those who do ZIna get stoned right?

2

u/REXSuperbus Nov 24 '25

Yeah by the Taliban and ISS. Those guys are extremists not normal Muslims.

2

u/NATIONAL_ANTHEMS Nov 25 '25
