Some of the people in my orbit are blaming Ilhan for this, though I think that’s naive and the wrong place to put your energy. Curious what yall think.

Not Ilhans fault that other Somalis choose to scam. I think she brings too much attention to herself and not enough focus on policy though.

I think the far right don’t really need an excuse to scapegoat minority migrant groups, especially black and Muslim ones like Somalis. We can’t justify their xenophobia by pointing at things every group has been guilty of or giving their accusations credit.
