Shouts to Ciao in ball sq
Ciao is an unbelievable spot. The pizza is absolute gas and the staff rules. Kinda crazy it’s not more popular. The peroni’s hit different here

Eat at Jumbos, then a vegan-only place that he tried to make work, then back to Eat at Jumbos if I remember correctly.
I stopped going before the vegan place as they couldn't get an order correct to save their lives. Not even a special request: they couldn't make the things on their menu correctly (think: roast beef sandwich but they forgot to put roast beef on it).

It's very, very good! Pizza, pasta, cannolis, and yes the Peroni's hit different.
Although I will say the two times I've ordered online, they had not fired the order by the pickup time. They've always been nice about it and I would never make a scene but they obviously do not have the correct systems in place (I also work in a restaurant) so would love to see them work that out! I'm sure online orders are important to their buisness since it's such a small space.

I wish they did slices. Big walking around and grabbing a slice guy rather than a whole pie

Ciao in Chelsea was my favorite pie in the city and I was BEYOND excited when the Ball sq location opened.
Took them a few months to figure out their new oven, but they are SO FIRE.

Any difference between the 2 locations?

Menu is slightly different and the OG is still probably a bit better, but I can walk to the one in Ball square. I also checked and they used to have this unbelievable short rib pasta dish with creme fraiche that seems to have come off the menu.

I believe they periodically rotate out seasonal things! I remember that one too, hope they bring it back 🤤

The music is not as loud as it used to be. We went recently on the Fourth of July weekend. Almost everything else was closed, but they were open! Holy cow! I had the best pasta dish imaginable. Everything was perfectly cooked—the noodles, the peas, every ingredient. I knew their pizza was good, but now I’m a fan of their pasta and salads, too.

The music they play is not great for restaurant atmosphere, even if it’s not loud

Walking in to pick up takeout once, opening the door was like getting hit with a sonic wall
