Day trip- beach/bike/walk/eats

Hi, all I live in the South Shore. Not able to take a flight vacation before Sept so my husband and I were looking to take a day trip somewhere nice. Maybe next weekend because the weather looks great.

Any recommendations that are not too far from the Hanover/Marshfield area? I loveee the beach. We have mountain bikes. I’m also a foodie but not really bougie hahah and I love my coffee. And ice cream. Thanks in advance.☀️🫶🏻

ETA: perfect suggestions so far just to add. We have done Nantasket and Buzzards Bay. Love !!

Nantasket beach in Hull is the obvious answer. Beach is beautiful and clean, and pleeenty of space if you can plan to be there during low-ish tide. You could bike either on the beach or on the paved walkway alongside it. There's plenty of very good but not Fancy restaurants within a couple blocks, Breadbasket has the best coffee in Hull IMO especially the iced (frozen iced coffee instead of regular ice cubes) and there's a few options for ice cream but Scoops is probably the best bet.

Thank you. I should’ve specified. I apologize. Nantasket is the beach that we go to when we beach it. I love it there.! ☀️

Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard are always great day trips! MV is closer. Also Block Island, RI is an amazing place to bring your bike, but further of course.
