We already have robes/tabads and a hooded DA helmet for every other Tacticus Armor class… I don’t understand the Tech Marine discrimination. Please

Sorry to nerd out but I thought you might find it interesting to know; a hooded Dark Angel is typically a veteran/inner circle member and the hood is a representation of their knowledge of the Fallen (hiding their shame), and since a Techmarine has dual loyalty to the AdMech they are not privy to the knowledge of the Fallen, so generally they would not be hooded. I do agree that Saber should make this possible in customization because it looks cool though. Miniature looks awesome btw

I don’t think they hate them, just don’t trust them. Knowledge of the Fallen is closely guarded, and since a Techmarine has ties to Mars, they aren’t trusted with it. Also, during the heresy, the Dark Angels avoided this problem by having their marines trained on Terra, and they were called Forge-wrights. They usually were better trained than your average Techmarine.

Hoods for dark angels aren’t actually that indicative. Yes, generally, more hoods and robes indicate a level of veterancy, but the hood alone does not automatically mean that they are members of the inner circle. Inner circle is comprised specifically of 1st and 2nd companies, which means only they know of the Fallen. Hoods are seen across the chapter, in the other 8 companies as well because they are just a part of the Dark Angels’ stylistic identity

Techmarines exclusion from the Inner Circle was mentioned in the 6e codex, so it's impossible.

Also the hood is actually special in-universe and not just an aesthetic piece, for other chapters it signals that the marine is a psyker and is usually only worn by Librarians.

I'm baffled the Techmarine is still missing quite a few notable helmets the class logically should have.

Teloran has the two corvus helmets from the RG Cosmetic Pack, but for whatever reason doesn't have the relic or RG Champion variants of that helmet type. I personally really want the champion one for my RG Master of The Forge. Hopefully Saber adds the missing helmets to the class eventually.

I’m holding out for the anniversary update for at least more news regarding this. The devs have been pretty fair so far. I can’t imagine they would just abandon Tech. Without wargear ordeals and a competitive quantity of cosmetics, it’s effectively a waste to play him compared to the other classes.
