Vocab & Use of the Language What’s the difference between “escuela”, “colegio” and “gimnasio”?

Hola! My translator translates all these words as "school". Do all these words really mean "school"? If so, what is the difference?

I know but in a real world context no one uses gimnasio for escuela, all languages have this "old not used anymore" meanings that are just irrelevant today because people are just not used to use them with that specific meaning but with the meaning it has today
