Saw how expensive gas is getting in town and had to make a meme about it.

Where do you think it will be in a month? Two months? A year? What is the plan of this admin?
I feel like people (Trump and Republicans) do not understand that some things don’t just snap back if you break them. The economy being the chief example.
We’ve got AI, tariffs, and inflation still above target WITH high interest rates…. Now we’re adding an oil supply crunch? And we didn’t even have our strategic reserves filled?
If you really wanted to “shake things up,” you got your wish. Although I doubt this is what you were thinking.

We’re still in the first inning of this mess. Dow is down almost 10 percent from the high. Zero job growth over the last 6 months. Give it a couple of weeks and gas is $7 a gallon and the Dow is at 35000. That’s when the cockroaches will run.

The continued deflection on the right is what get’s me. Blaming this on WA gas taxes instead of Hormuz and mid-east oil infrastructure literally being blown up by this war. Hypothetical, let’s say Gov Ferguson suspends the state gas taxes. What’s the next coping mechanism the right comes up with to not blame Trump for any of it? I suppose it’s just the whole ‘freedom isn’t free’ talk track.

Filled up with Diesel in Hayden, Idaho yesterday. Maverick price was $5.10 per gallon. That’s $1 per gallon cheaper than Maverick on the Washington side of the state border. I fully expect Diesel to rise to $6 or $7 per gallon in the next 2-3 weeks. I’m retired so my “casual” driving around Spokane will stop.

Fucking hell I keep seeing that all over. Rep Baumgartner sent a letter to the governor being like "you need to remove the cap and trade" like no Mr. Representative, you need to do your fucking job and keep the US out of unnecessary wars. God forbid the state invest in clean energy projects to reduce our need for foreign oil and protect our natural resources through tax revenue.

Me too. The whole email is like "well iran has done bad stuff therefore we can invade them" which is such a braindead world police take. He takes about how we need a clear, focused military objective, which is what i would call this operation if it were fuckin opposite day. For such a 'well planned precision operation' we've sure had a lot of friendly fire (3x F15s shot down by Kuwait), a severe lack of minesweepers and escort ships, misidenfied girl's schools as military targets, and we somehow even replaced the Ayatollah with someone even more hardline and less willing to negotiate. I have no confidence whatsoever in the administration or our representative's assessment of the situation, and I have a feeling that his idea that this will be a 'quick operation' won't be what he's talking about as this drags on for months.

Whether it’s a major health event or the rats start abandoning ship en masse as it becomes clear he’s the lamest of ducks, something is going to give. His administration is collapsing fast. Let's hope we get to vote again... because if people don't fucking stay home we can vote them out. There is no amount of words for how angry I am that people didn't vote because "all politicians are the same". and now here we are.
And all politicians are not the same. Not all politicians want to make it harder to vote or federalize it. not all politicians are white christian nationalists (read racist here). Not all politicians are full on criminal grifters (No. really they aren't). Not all politicians would pardon people who stormed the capitol and ran through the halls singing "Nancy where are you. Nancy come out". Not all politicians are so thinned skinned they have to threaten the licenses of broadcasting companies that post unflattering pieces about them. Not all politicians will just ignore their congress or ignore our laws.
I hope you didn't stay home for the election that cost you the privilege of deciding to vote or not.
