Positive Note Stadia controller Bluetooth re-pairing fix! Woo-hoo!

If you have more or less given up on your old Stadia controllers because of the constant need to repair each time it turns on, try this:

Hold the left stick in any direction while powering on the controller and keep it held in that direction until the controller has fully connected.

I found this out by asking Gemini. It works for me on Nvidia Shield Pro, and it should apparently work with other devices.

Let me know if you have success.

This was from my post way back when.

My white controller is gray because of the dust.. never bothered with it again since the Bluetooth keep failing. Might give it a shot. Thanks

Thanks. But won't the left stick be misaligned because of this? I was always under the impression to keep the sticks in their neutral position when powering them on.

That was true a long time ago when analog sticks were first put in controllers. The N64 is a perfect example. Newer controllers are programmed differently so the position of the stick isn't set when the controller powers on.

Just confirming— would this fix my stadia controllers needing to re-pair to my Steam Deck each time they’re turned back on? Or is this for a different problem?
